You are about to see exactly how quickly the Google search is changing. Pay attention. These results happened in three consecutive days.

DAY 1:

This is the old way of doing things. We used to call this a good result. The contractor was at the top of the Google map and was represented on the first page of the search. This contractor claimed his listing in the ductless directory, and in just five hours, it popped to the top of the search, outranking his competitors who have very large websites.

DAY 3:

What happened? Well, the Google AI overview came to town and recognized something other than a website. It identified something new in the marketplace and elevated his listing in the AI overview. If you look to the left, you can also see that it referenced this contractor.
