“What first made me consider getting into the HVAC industry? I don’t come from the industry. I’m not a tradesman originally, but I saw a huge opportunity both to help people and to be in an industry that’s evolving so quickly. I wanted to be part of that evolution and help advance something that a lot of people consider to be kind of stale—an industry that doesn’t change. In reality, there’s so much happening right now in the HVAC industry that’s advancing us forward and bringing new technology to homeowners. In many cases, it really is helping consumers—helping them save money and become more comfortable. That’s a really satisfying feeling, to help a homeowner feel at ease and make them feel like they really got something out of it, while also helping advance employees and helping them understand things that, a few years ago, there would be no expectation that an HVAC tech might understand. But now, in today’s marketplace, they really need to, and I want to bring that training aspect to a company.”
“What sets Endless Energy apart from other HVAC companies? First of all, we are still independent and family-owned. Many companies around us have been purchased by private equity firms and are really no longer independent. One of our big focuses is that we are still a fairly large company with 86 employees, throughout the state of Massachusetts. Our focus, especially when we have new employees joining us, is we want our employees to treat every customer like they’re a member of our family. As we prepare them to go into homes, we tell them to think about their meeting with their mother, grandmother, sister, or brother—how they would treat them, and what they would hope that family member would get out of it. We emphasize treating customers correctly, giving them options, and letting them know, ‘Here’s the good thing, here’s the bad thing.’ Rather than shoving an option down someone’s throat and telling them, ‘This is the only thing that you can possibly do.’ We’re not there trying to sell one thing to somebody. We’re there to present options that make them feel more comfortable, the same way we would if we were at the table with our family.”
